This site tries to blend several themes that I find personally both important and interesting, techology and the environment. We all need to keep improving how well we look after our planet and its often too fragile ecosystems. Providing good data that supports increasing awareness of the everyday choices we make and the impact they have can go a long way to help change behaviour; often increasing awareness of one area, such as emissions, can sensitise people to other areas they can change too. Advances in technology almost always brings benefits; increasing efficiency, improving effectiveness and generally improving the overall qualtity of life. The challenge is often how we encourage people to learn about and adopt these advances, making sure that people are not excluded or left behind. Providing simple use cases, good data and information can go some way to help achieve this.
